Gather few pantry and fridge ingredients together. You can click 👇 "learn more" button for the whole ingredients list. Start with preparing the apple and walnut filling spiced with cinnamon..

Peel and grate the apples. Place a pan on medium heat and add the grated apples, cinnamon and sugar to the pan and cook them until soft, for about 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the filling cool down while preparing the cookie dough. Add the walnuts when the filling is cooled down and mix well.

Mix the dough ingredients in a bowl with your fingertips gently until combined. Return the mixture to a worktop and form a nice soft dough. Divide it into 5 equal pieces.

Lightly flour the worktop, sprinkle some flour on a dough ball and roll it out into a 20 cm (8″) dia circle (approximately ½ cm thick). Watch the short video tutorial 👆 for details.
