    These Classic Dishes bring together the best of British cuisine that many of us grew up with and always hit the spot. Each dish uses simple, everyday ingredients from your pantry or fridge and comes together with easy-to-follow steps. From hearty mains to lighter favourites, these recipes have the familiar taste you’d find in a pub but are a bit healthier to make at home.

    This delicious “lid only” Steak Pie is a quintessentially British dish made of slow-cooked beef and topped with flaky golden shortcrust pastry. It is the ultimate comfort food for cold winter nights when paired with some Pomme Purée (Creamy Mashed Potatoes) on the side.

    This pub classic, Chicken Liver Pâté with brandy, is an elegant yet fuss-free dinner party starter and can be made up to three days in advance. 

    It is one of my favorite starters/appetizers to serve on special occasions such as Christmas or Thanksgiving, especially when I want to spoil my dinner guests.

    These homemade Shortcrust Pastry Mini Sausage Rolls are a delicious combination of flaky, buttery shop-bought pastry and perfectly seasoned, hearty sausage meat.

    Fish and chips are my all-time favourite comfort food, but I find the traditional deep-fried ones heavy and oily. I serve it with homemade Tartar Sauce with Capers, a slice of lemon, and a side salad for a complete family feast!
